Windows should re-detect it.Also check in BIOS, make sure Legacy USB Support is enabled. I even Uninstalled every last USB port from the System Properties and restarted, and still that didn't work. The letter I should be typed in the Search box after the letter F. Win7 is booting fine, but as it is loading, shortly before the login screen appears, the keyboard & mouse - probably all peripheral devices connected via USB - are turned off i actually just found a system restore from cmd line method im trying right now.
