Windows 7 Gadgets Not Working After Uninstalling Mcafee

had ther same problem. I saw this on PC Advisor and thought you should see it too. Also, the Stocks Gadget may not show up when you add it to the Sidebar. I have bookmarked this page so if I remember, I get back. http://stickersweb.com/windows-7/windows-7-search-not-working-mcafee.php

The uninstall of McAfee did not return this registry key to the proper value:[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{B54F3741-5B07-11cf-A4B0-00AA004A55E8}\InprocServer32] @="C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\McAfee\\SystemCore\\ScriptSn.20110222204811.dll" "ThreadingModel"="Both"The default value needed to be changed:[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{B54F3741-5B07-11cf-A4B0-00AA004A55E8}\InprocServer32] @="C:\\Windows\\system32\\vbscript.dll" "ThreadingModel"="Both"Hope this helps somebody :) Aled AJ June 14, 2012 at 11:10 am Thanks PhilliePhan and Paul! • Windows 7 Gadgets Stopped Working

It's likely that the spyware definitions will be out of date, so now’s the time to update them. This is because the two will probably conflict with each other and cause performance problems. The additional security zone may have been added by a Malware, could appear as a pseudo-graphic number listed before zone number 0.

No ASCII code found either in registry.
    What now?????

  • There was Windows 7 Gadgets Cannot Connect To Service I'd not be surprised if the vast majority of people here had a similar problem with a script-blocking component of an AV app.

I am in need of help, please.
