I have not uninstalled Acronis and it seems to be working normally when started from the desktop icon, but it is no longer integrated into Windows. Merely uninstalling Acronis software in the normal way DOES NOT completly reverse its system-altering changes. The current device class filter services and drivers that bypass your operating system's normal HAL just can't seem to handle a wide range of system hardware configurations.
