No Sound On Wii

It is old tech and being phased out as lossless audio is much better, And requires HDMI. True surround is always better than taking a 2.0 source and changing it into 5.1, but if a person usually never go into the game options all the time, having the Netflix supports 5.1 audio sporadically.

I dont really understand why it isn't working, I looked online and its very shady area, I believe its because the system doesn't license any audio coding, and uses PCLM 2.0? I'm surprised by how many of my friends are surprised by how my Wii U streams Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, and Playon all in 5.1 surround and theirs don't. Nobody is really losing anything from this decision.   • When storing sound on a DVD, space is saved by compressing this audio to DD or DTS, which are lossy compression somewhat like mp3.
  • It gets to a point when its just not worth going out of your way to make something compatible with older tech.
