First you must clear the Wii of the sync's that you have established.Turn the Wii console power OFF by pressing the POWER Button on the front of the console. Number 4, You did it! I had that same problem and it worked for me. Wii Remote Not Working With Sensor Bar We tried 3 sets of new batteries and it does the same. The remotes are pretty old, but I don't see how this would effect them. When I press any buttons on the remotes, they only flash twice and that's all.

A Light too Close to the Sensor Bar¶ The Wii sensor bar uses a heat signal from the Wii Remote to sense where exactly you are pointing. For further info http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems... Food and sugary liquids can easily get underneath buttons and cause them to stick or stop working. Open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console and press and hold the red SYNC button for 15 seconds. Loading...
After a couple hours it started working again by the waygojaysjust take the batteries out for like 3 minutes and then put them back in and re-sync.
