Need Help? The second step should be done only in case you do not succeed with the first one. its all running smoothly now. My advice is to just be patient until 6.1, but if that doesn't work, send your phone back and leave it in the hands of Apple's excellent customer service. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4042288?start=0&tstart=0
Very smart fix and worked like a charm. No such luck. I have reset my settings, so Im about to tell you if it works now...YAY!!! Kao Saephan I'd bet it has to do with people's router and settings.
The router is brand new- DLink. The phone will connect to it every time. How do I add Videos to my Widgets screen? It required an update and I updated, after that when I go to wifi to see available connections, it doesnt show any connections, even its not letting me to turn on
reply Anonymous replied on September 23, 2012 - 8:42am Permalink Finally success- wifi on iphone 5 is working! After upgrading one of them to iOS5.0.1, Wireless network connection was totally lost. The internet is loaded with people who have these problems and they refuse to admit it or release a software fix!!Reply Ori saysFebruary 7, 2013 at 2:54 AM Thanks heath. http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Apple-iOS-Devices-iPhone-iPad/WiFi-not-working-after-iOS-5-1-1-update/td-p/242099 you might have also messed up a plist somehow!
My issue is a bit different.since im travelling a lot, i need wifi mostly in coffee and public places so i cant do all the router manouvers. i always have to enter my username & password everytime i connect to the wifi and if i leave my phone for a while, it lost my connection to the wifi. My phone is working properly and everything is syncing now! I've found when switching to airplane mode or shutting off (holding power for 10 seconds) and turning back on causes all the iPads to fail to maintain network connection. Very grateful. 🙂Reply Rich Iwasaki saysAugust 22, 2012 at 10:37 AM Using a first gen iPad successfully on my home wifi network, after a recharging, I could not get it to Germ I've had this issue with my iPhone 4S since I've first got it.
EverythingApplePro 267,598 views 1:52 Loading more suggestions... my review here although i never turn on ios bluetooth anymore! So i reset my phone and now my wifi wont connect with my phone. as iOS 6 won't run on my iPod hoping Apple will release a fix for 5.1.1!glad to see doesn't seem to be just netgear routers.
I hope that helps someone. The time now is 09:22 AM.
i got the same case with y'all. I tried your suggestion but it defaulted back to the DHCP option, which is allocating me an IP address starting 169 with no DNS or router address, thus not getting me Then it dawned on me....maybe it was the app that caused the problem.
This has been making me tear my hair out with frustration as it has made the iPad totally not fit for purpose. console via iPhone configuration utility showed something about frequent transitions but don't understand if thay's relevant. Touch Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings. 2. I feel as if I've been scammed.

I finally got HELP from "Get an Answer". I only wonder why it causes the battery to drain fast. I was waiting for the 4.3 update, in the hope that this would finally sort the issue. You don't lose anything except problems with wi-fi.
