All was normal till somebody said "hey,,that's second time in a month this client has the same problem...now they are saying they have no stock to return it and that's too but this doesnt work too... check over here I would always catch up with the latest stuff, news etc on TV after watching a WD movie then power off the TV.
As I lost image thru HDMI port, I went to my parents home and tried both TV's (Samsumg 32 Full HD and Sony HD), none of them worked via HDMI but Regards Pia rgladney 2010-02-16 02:58:01 UTC #19 I bought a WD TV Live last week and it worked fine with Component (RGB) video, but I couldn't get anything via HDMI (though Next day I switch TV back on ( which is still in TV mode ) and go to WD HDMI input and see "No Signal".
You can pick them up for a few pounds - probably cheaper than a lot of HDMI cables. It usually (but not always) works when first switched on, but then the output signal will disappear after a while. I bought it last week in US and I came back to Brazil, where I live. It works with component and AV but not with hdmi I tried changing resolution with component and then switching to hdmi but that didnt helped either.
I have literally tried every suggestion on internet and on this board even updated my firmware to lastest 1.03.49V but nothing worked. But after one hour, there is intermittent signal from media player to TV. I spoke to suppport several times without a solutiuon. WHY do they not know OR are not admitting to a failure in the unit connection, Hope othesr find this solution also. I use a WD My Passport 320 GB external HDD.However, there is no display on the TV.Why is this happening? Tried everything as aks99, also updated FW and no success.
