I'll recommend that you either route the traffic instead of bridging it or create an Ethernet over IP tunnel to a host with wired network and then bridge the virtual Ethernet It appears the hostname for the Active Directory network is pulled from the file sharing (i.e. "Sharing") System Preferences on the Apple computers. my problem is i have about 120 users and i really dont want the nightmare of manual tracking static ip's & troubleshooting it! The VM is Windows 7 Ultimate (although this occurred with Win XP also). Fortunately the workaround is very simple. Setting it to use a specific network adaptor fixes the problem immediately.
Also, I had another issue where when I suspended the guest when using Airport on my host machine and then resumed the VM with the host on Ethernet (in a different teg commented Jul 15, 2014 FWIW, I just pushed a fix for that other issue to git now. Like Show 0 Likes (0) Actions 8.
