It was working perfectly. mpv is the one with vdpau support, so if you use Armbian Desktop image you should have it already installed and built for vdpau, if something is not changed recently. I had to then change device to HDA Intel, HDMI 0 HDMI Audio Output. No other solutions worked.

Have Advanced checked, and can't find it. But if you look in /var/log/apt you'll find a handy log file telling you which packages were removed, and you can add them back with apt-get. If it's not present i will show you how to build and install it too. You mention that you removed "libalsa-plugins-pulseaudio".
